AN AWARD-WINNING BUILDER AND DESIGN TEAM BRING CREATIVE VISION TO REDEVELOPMENT IN THIS SINGLE-FAMILY NEIGHBOURHOOD
Redevelopment and densification in established older neighbourhoods is a hot topic in Vancouver. This project is an example of what can be done with a fresh, creative approach to reimagining modern urban living. The project includes two rental units, in this case a 2-bedroom suite below and a 1-bedroom laneway house behind – additional housing options for renters plus mortgage-helper revenue for the new homeowners.
Those new owners get a smartly designed 3-level home. The main level offers a welcoming living area at the front of the house, leading to an open kitchen/dining/family room space at the rear, opening to a south-facing deck. Light natural-finish wood flooring contrasts with dark cabinetry and millwork detail. The design team prioritized a crisp, modern yet homey feel, which was our direction in furnishing and accessorizing the spaces for a young family.
