Presidio on Stanley Park
This unique and ultra-exclusive penthouse on the edge of Stanley Park required a full makeover for the international market
The Presidio is a landmark building designed by architect Richard Henriquez, built in 1992 on the edge of Stanley Park at Lost Lagoon. The penthouse includes the top two floors of the building, and commands breathtaking 360 degree views over the park, mountains, ocean and city. The homeowner, a prominent business figure and avid art collector, had made the decision to downsize, and was concerned about privacy and security issues posed in marketing and showing the property. DEKORA assisted the owner and his team during a substantial preparatory period to edit and remove much of the existing furniture and artworks. Outdoor terraces had to be extensively renovated as well, including replacement of containers and plant material as well as furnshings.
The realtor for this property, a long term DEKORA partner, challenged us to create a look that would rival premier properties in global A-list markets, appealing to a discerning, wealthy and exclusive international buyer profile. The project demanded styling in a very sophisticated transitional aesthetic, utilizing a majority of furnishings and gallery artworks supplied by DEKORA, together with selected pieces from the homeowner’s own collection. The look is refined, elegant and yet very warm and inviting.
